Lamah was a Nephite commander who took part in the last great battle that occurred between the Nephites and the Lamanites at the hill Cumorah in AD 385. His leadership role is mentioned in the records as having command over a body of ten thousand soldiers during this decisive and fateful engagement. In a somber recounting of the massive losses suffered by the Nephites, it is recorded that Lamah, along with other leaders and their respective ten thousands, fell in battle (Mormon 6:14). His death, signifying the culmination of a catastrophic war, marked the near annihilation of the Nephite nation and the fulfillment of many prophecies concerning their eventual destruction due to widespread wickedness and apostasy.
