This scripture outlines the qualities of righteousness that we should all aspire to cultivate. As we apply this scripture to our lives, we will abound in good works. Alma issues to the people of Gideon a divine pattern for attaining happiness. The entire seventh chapter is an inspired invitation to come unto Christ, recognize His goodness, and acknowledge His desire to bless us (verses 11–12). As Alma closes his discourse, he admonishes both the people of Gideon and us to righteousness and good works.
