Here in Enos 1:8, the original reading (“go to it”) appears to be intended; the nonspecific pronoun it that Joseph Smith removed in his editing for the 1837 edition will be restored in the critical text, along with the it (and the preceding to) that Joseph deleted from the original text in Jacob 5:72 (“the servants did go to it and labor with their mights”).
