“Isles of the Sea”
As Jacob pondered the scriptures under the tutelage of the Holy Ghost, he realized that Isaiah’s reference to Israel’s being scattered upon the “Isles of the sea” extends beyond that of Lehi’s family coming to the New World. We know not how many righteous men like Lehi may have been directed by the Lord to take their families and migrate to the various corners of the earth, but we do know that the gathering of Israel will involve virtually every land and isle upon the face of the earth.
