Jacob now wants to read to the people Isaiah chapter 51. In it Isaiah declared:
Isaiah wanted those who seek after righteousness to remember that around 2000 B.C. when the world was filled with apostasy and depravity there were two people God could rely upon. They were Abraham and Sarah. From those two illustrious people all the prophets and spiritual leaders of God's kingdom have come. This is why the Lord calls Abraham the rock from which they were hewn and Sarah the pit from which they were digged. From these two great leaders the prophets and priesthood of God have sprung from then until now.
