This is the other side of the prophecy. It is a promise that, whenever the day comes that the Jews will accept Jesus as their Messiah, then the Lord will remember the covenants made with the fathers. Then He will gather them in, and all the earth will see the salvation of the Lord (v. 17).
That the Jews still are a numerous people is one of the miracles of history. At present they are estimated at about fifteen and a half millions. Of these, there are 9,290,000 in Europe, 4,380,000 in North America, 200,000 in South America, 942,000 in Africa and 1,850,000 in Palestine. 2
