The Twelve chosen in Palestine have been given authority to judge the twelve tribes of Israel, including the twelve ministers selected by our Lord to administer to the descendants of Lehi. "For," the angel says, "ye are of the house of Israel." Peter, it will be remembered on one occasion, desired to know what special reward the Twelve could expect. Our Lord replied: "Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
