Why Book of Mormon Online?
The Book of Mormon can be a daunting text for many students. Its historical narratives, complex theological concepts, and unfamiliar writing style can create barriers to understanding. Traditional scripture study methods often emphasize rote reading and completion goals, potentially sacrificing comprehension and meaningful engagement. Book of Mormon Online addresses these challenges, offering a fresh approach that prioritizes understanding over simply finishing the text. By breaking the Book of Mormon into manageable segments and providing contextual summaries, visual aids, and in-depth commentary, Book of Mormon Online helps students grasp the overarching narratives, identify key themes, and delve into the text's spiritual teachings. This resource transforms scripture study from a mere assignment into an enriching personal experience, ultimately fostering a deeper appreciation for the Book of Mormon's wisdom and relevance.
Who is the creator Book of Mormon Online?
Book of Mormon Online is created and developed by KC Kern, with some development support from outsourcing partners. Original outlines were created in early 2004, and the work of organizing, digitizing, programming, and writing went on until official launch in late 2007. Since then, it has undergone two major rearchitectures with the inclusion of many new features. Facsimile indexing was made possible by support from Book of Mormon Central in 2018.
